Wegovy® (GLP-1) for chronic weight management
$1,839/month*
Wegovy® is an FDA-approved semaglutide GLP-1 injection used for chronic weight management in eligible adults living with obesity or overweight and weight-related health conditions. At Fittlly, Wegovy® is prescribed and monitored by licensed clinicians as part of a structured medical weight management program for patients who prefer a brand-name medication option.
Dose and titration follow the FDA-approved Wegovy® schedule. Your weekly dose is selected and adjusted by your clinician based on your medical history, response to treatment, and goals.
*Brand-name Wegovy® supplied by the manufacturer. Eligibility determined by a licensed clinician.

Gastro
When starting a GLP-1 therapy, digestive discomfort can be common. Our providers may prescribe supportive nutrients like B3 and B5 which may help your body adjust to your medication.
Muscle
Quick weight loss can also sometimes mean muscle loss. Our providers may prescribe additives like glycine and B12, which may aid in muscle repair as you lose weight.
Energy
As your body adjusts to slower digestion and a reduced calorie diet, you may feel less energetic. Our providers may prescribe additives like methionine, inositol & choline, which may support fat metabolism for consistent energy.

Wegovy® dosing schedule and titration overview
Finding the right Wegovy® dose is a gradual process.
If you’re new to GLP-1 treatment, your clinician will typically start you on a low introductory dose, often 0.25 mg once weekly. Beginning at a lower dose helps your body adjust to the medication and can reduce the likelihood of side effects before any increases are considered. Your dosing schedule is personalized based on your medical history, how you feel, and the goals you’ve discussed with your care team.
At your first follow-up, your clinician will review how you’re tolerating Wegovy®, any side effects you’ve noticed, changes in your weight, and how your appetite and energy are shifting. If you’re responding well and seeing steady progress on your current dose, it’s often best to stay there until your results begin to level off.
It’s important to remember that meaningful changes can take time. For many patients, visible progress may take several weeks to a couple of months as the dose is gradually increased and the medication has time to work.

What does semaglutide do in the body?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, which means it acts like a natural hormone called glucagon-like
peptide-1 (GLP-1) that your body releases after you eat.
By activating GLP-1 receptors, semaglutide can:
• help regulate blood sugar by increasing insulin release when glucose levels are high
• reduce glucagon, the hormone that tells your liver to release stored sugar
• slow how quickly the stomach empties, so you feel fuller for longer after meals
• lower appetite, which can naturally reduce how much you eat over time
Together, these effects can support better blood sugar control and medically supervised weight loss when
semaglutide is used as part of a structured treatment plan.
What is Wegovy® prescribed for?
Wegovy® (semaglutide) is an FDA-approved GLP-1 injection used for chronic weight management in adults
living with obesity, or in overweight adults who also have weight-related health conditions such as high
blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or high cholesterol. It is always used together
with a structured plan for nutrition, movement, and lifestyle changes—not as a stand-alone quick
fix.
Semaglutide belongs to a class of medicines called GLP-1 receptor agonists. By acting on GLP-1
receptors, Wegovy® helps:
• increase insulin release when blood sugar is elevated
• reduce glucagon, the hormone that signals the liver to release stored sugar
• slow how quickly food leaves the stomach, so you feel fuller for longer
• decrease appetite, which can support lower calorie intake and weight loss over time
At Fittlly, Wegovy® is prescribed only after a licensed clinician reviews your health history and
determines that it is safe and appropriate for your situation.
How do I use my Wegovy® injection safely?
Wegovy® is taken as a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection that you give yourself once a week after
receiving proper training from your care team. Common injection sites include:
• the abdomen, at least 2 inches away from the belly button
• the front or outer part of the thigh
• the outer back of the upper arm (this site should be injected by someone else)
Key points to remember:
• Rotate injection sites with each dose and avoid areas with scars, moles, irritation, or bruises. Do
not inject through clothing.
• Check the medicine before use: the solution in the pen should be clear and colorless. Do not use it if
it appears cloudy, discolored, or contains particles.
• Never share your injection pen with anyone else, even if the needle has been changed. Sharing devices
can spread infections.
• Use Wegovy® on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food, unless your clinician
gives you different instructions.
• Follow the step-by-step instructions provided with your pen and any training from your clinician or
pharmacist. If you are unsure about your injection technique or have questions, contact your healthcare
provider before using the medication.
What kind of weight loss is realistic with Wegovy®?
Results with Wegovy® (semaglutide) vary from person to person, and no one can guarantee a specific
amount of weight you will lose. Your starting weight, medical history, dose, lifestyle, and consistency
all play a role in your progress.
In a 68-week clinical trial of Wegovy® 2.4 mg in adults without diabetes but with obesity or excess
weight plus a weight-related condition (such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol), patients lost
on average about 15% of their body weight when Wegovy® was combined with diet and exercise. In the same
study, people who only received diet and exercise support lost around 2–3% of their body weight.
Your own results may be higher or lower than these averages. At Fittlly, Wegovy® is used as part of a
supervised medical plan focused on safe, sustainable weight loss, not extreme or rapid changes at any
cost.
How soon will I start to see results with Wegovy®?
The timeline for seeing results with Wegovy® can vary from person to person. Some people notice changes
in appetite or portions within the first few weeks, while for others visible weight loss may take a
month or longer. Both patterns can be normal.
The most important factor is consistency: taking Wegovy® exactly as prescribed, following your nutrition
and activity plan, and staying in touch with your care team. Your clinician will gradually adjust your
dose based on how you’re responding and any side effects you experience.
As a general guideline, a medically safe rate of weight loss is often around 1–2 pounds per week (about
4–8 pounds per month), but your individual pace may be slower or faster depending on your starting
point, health conditions, and goals. At Fittlly, the focus with Wegovy® is on steady, sustainable
progress, not rapid or extreme changes.
Where is Wegovy® available through Fittlly?
Wegovy® (semaglutide) injections are available to many patients across the United States, but access can
vary by state due to local telehealth and prescribing regulations. During your online eligibility check,
we’ll ask for your location and clearly show whether Fittlly can prescribe and ship Wegovy® to your
state.
If Wegovy® is not available where you live, your clinician may discuss alternative treatment options
that are appropriate for your situation.
How does Wegovy® compare to oral compounded semaglutide?
Both injectable Wegovy® (semaglutide) and oral compounded semaglutide can support meaningful weight loss
when used as part of a structured medical program with nutrition and lifestyle changes. They act on the
same GLP-1 pathway, but they’re absorbed differently and are not identical products.
In general, injectable semaglutide like Wegovy® has been studied at higher doses and, in many patients,
may lead to greater average weight loss than lower-dose oral formulations. That said, for some people, a
once-weekly injection is not practical or not preferred, and an oral option may be more acceptable and
easier to stick with.
The “better” choice depends on:
• your medical history and other medications
• how your body responds and tolerates treatment
• your preferences around injections versus tablets
• what your clinician believes is safest and most effective for you
At Fittlly, your clinician will discuss the pros and cons of each option and help you choose a treatment
approach you can use consistently and safely over time.
Who can qualify for Wegovy® treatment with Fittlly?
Eligibility for Wegovy® (semaglutide) is always determined by a licensed clinician after a full review
of your health history, current medications, and goals. Wegovy® is not suitable for everyone, and it is
only prescribed when it is medically appropriate and safe.
In general, patients considered for Wegovy® typically:
• are 18 years of age or older
• have a BMI of 27 or higher
• are not pregnant or breastfeeding
• do not have certain medical conditions, such as:
o a history of certain thyroid cancers or serious thyroid disease
o gastroparesis (significantly delayed stomach emptying)
o pancreatic cancer or pancreatitis
o MEN2 (multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2)
o some forms of inflammatory bowel disease
This is not a complete list of eligibility criteria. As part of the Fittlly process, you’ll complete an
online health screening with our telehealth clinicians. Based on this evaluation, they will decide
whether Wegovy® is an appropriate and safe option for you, or if another treatment approach would be
better suited to your needs.
How will my Wegovy® dose be determined?
Your Wegovy® dose is always chosen by a licensed clinician after reviewing your medical history, current
medications, and overall health. Most patients start on a low introductory dose, typically 0.25 mg once
weekly for the first weeks. This “starter phase” is designed to let your body adjust gradually, so it’s
normal if you don’t see the full effect on weight loss until later in your titration schedule.
After this initial period, your clinician will look at how you’re feeling, any side effects you’ve
experienced, and how your weight and appetite are changing before deciding whether to increase,
maintain, or adjust your dose.
If you’ve previously taken a GLP-1 medication, you may be able to start closer to the dose you were
already using. In that case, we’ll ask you to provide valid documentation of your prior prescription
(for example, a prescription label, clinic note, or pharmacy record) during your health screening. If
appropriate documentation isn’t available, or if there are safety concerns, your clinician may recommend
starting at a lower introductory dose and adjusting from there.
Do I need to follow a specific diet while I’m on Wegovy®?
There isn’t a strict “Wegovy® diet,” but what and how you eat will strongly influence how you feel on
treatment and how effective it is. Your doctor or dietitian may provide personalized guidance, and it’s
important to follow their recommendations.
In general, a balanced way of eating and regular movement will support weight loss, help manage side
effects, and make Wegovy® work better for you. Many patients feel better when they:
• limit heavy, greasy, fried, and high-sugar foods, which can worsen nausea or digestive discomfort
• reduce alcohol intake, as it can affect blood sugar and digestion
• stay well hydrated, by drinking enough water throughout the day
Your Fittlly care team can help you choose an eating pattern that fits your lifestyle and health while
working alongside your Wegovy® treatment.
What side effects can occur with Wegovy®?
Like all prescription medicines, Wegovy® (semaglutide) can cause side effects. Many are mild and improve
as your body adjusts to treatment, but some can be more serious and require medical attention.
Common side effects can include:
• nausea or vomiting
• diarrhea or constipation
• abdominal pain or discomfort
• bloating, burping, or indigestion
• headache, fatigue, or dizziness
Not everyone will experience these effects, and for many patients they become less frequent over time,
especially when the dose is increased gradually.
More serious side effects are less common but may include:
• severe or persistent abdominal pain, which could be a sign of pancreatitis
• gallbladder problems, such as gallstones or inflammation
• signs of dehydration (very little urine, feeling faint, dry mouth)
• changes in vision, especially in people with diabetes
• possible thyroid-related issues, including a lump in the neck, hoarseness, or difficulty
swallowing
• allergic reactions, such as rash, swelling, or trouble breathing
If you notice severe, sudden, or worrying symptoms, seek medical care immediately and contact your
healthcare provider.
Do not change your dose or stop Wegovy® on your own. If you’re concerned about side effects, talk with
your Fittlly clinician or your primary care provider. They can review your symptoms, adjust your
treatment if needed, and help you manage side effects safely. For complete safety information, always
refer to the medication guide that comes with your prescription and the official prescribing information
for Wegovy®.
What should I do if I miss a Wegovy® dose?
If you forget to take a scheduled Wegovy® injection, you can usually take the missed dose as soon as you
remember as long as no more than 4 days have passed since the day you were supposed to take it.
If more than 4 days have gone by, skip the missed dose and wait until your next scheduled injection.
Then continue with your regular once-weekly schedule.
Do not inject two doses close together or take a “double dose” to make up for the one you
missed.
If you’re unsure what to do—especially if you’ve missed more than one dose—contact your Fittlly
clinician or your primary healthcare provider. They can tell you whether to restart, delay, or adjust
your dosing schedule in the safest way for you.
How do you dispose of and store Wegovy® injections?
Keep medicine pens out of reach of children. Store away from light and heat. Refrigerate unused
semaglutide (36°F to 46°F [2°C to 8°C]), but not near the cooling element. Do not freeze; discard if
frozen.
Dispose of unneeded medications safely to prevent accidental ingestion. Do not flush them down the
toilet; use a medicine take-back program instead. Contact your pharmacist or local waste department for
options, or visit the FDA’s Safe Disposal of Medicines website for more information.
How should I store and safely dispose of my Wegovy® pens?
To keep your Wegovy® treatment safe and effective, it’s important to store and dispose of your pens
correctly.
Storage:
• Keep all medicine pens out of reach of children and pets.
• Store your pens away from direct light and heat, following the instructions on the packaging.
• Refrigerate unused Wegovy® between 36°F and 46°F (2°C–8°C), and avoid placing pens directly next to
the cooling element.
• Do not freeze Wegovy®. If a pen has been frozen at any point, do not use it—dispose of it safely.
• Always check the expiration date and do not use pens that are out of date.
Disposal:
• Used pens and needles should be placed in an approved sharps container or another sturdy,
puncture-resistant container, according to your local regulations.
• Do not throw loose needles or pens directly into household trash, and do not flush medications down
the toilet or pour them into the sink unless you are specifically instructed to do so.
• Whenever possible, use a medicine take-back program or follow local guidelines for safe disposal of
unused or expired medication. Your pharmacist or local waste authority can help you find options in your
area.
If you’re unsure how to store or dispose of your Wegovy® pens correctly, ask your pharmacist or
clinician—they can give you instructions tailored to your location and prescription.
